Teaching Positions in Vietnam
We have an enthusiastic and professional teaching team who are dedicated to delivering the best English teaching in Vietnam. We are looking for similar teachers who also meet our qualification and teaching experience to join us.
British Council Hanoi is a high profile Teaching Centre which is expanding to meet an ever growing number of clients and students. You will teach children, teenagers, and adults and join a team of about 40 teachers in Hanoi (about 80 in Vietnam).
As a member of the team, you will deliver high quality lessons on our full range of courses and be ready to develop your experience in all areas with highly motivated groups of Vietnamese students. We are committed to Continuing Professional Development, and we offer a full in service training programme including funding Cambridge DELTA studies, and the British Council / Trinity Young Learner Education Certificate (TYLEC). You will find further details on training in Section B below.
The Hanoi office contains the English team as well as other departments who help to fulfil the British Council’s cultural mission. There are also opportunities to get involved in projects that support local teachers, as well as other British Council programmes. It is a vibrant modern office with a variety of teaching and administration teams working together.
Hanoi is a wonderful city with an intoxicating mix of the old and the new. It is a city of lakes and contrasts – tree-lined roads with colonial villas can be found around the corner from moped-filled streets with modern glass skyscrapers. It is a city of fast paced change. You can still live off the delicious and cheap street food or dine out at great restaurants. Most of our staff live in the old quarters or around Tay Ho or Truc Bach lakes either in spacious apartments or houses. Your salary goes a long way and many find it difficult to leave after they have acclimatised to Hanoi’s way of life!
Enquiries about the post can be sent to the attention of the East Asia Teacher Recruitment team (EAteacher.Recruitment@britishcouncil.org.sg).
