Short description

Anuban Treeya is a nursery and kindergarten school with around 400 students, which is linked with a primary school nearby. The whole school has around 1200 students. The number of pupils in classes ranges from 15-25; you will teach both kindergarten and prathom, ages 4-11. Thai teaching assistants will help you with your teaching of English in the classroom. Resources will be provided and you will be expected to create tests to follow your student’s progress. You may occasionally be asked to participate in special school events like, Sports day, Parent/ Teacher conferences, English Camps, etc.

Location

The school is based in the small city of Buri Ram. This small but vibrant city has plenty of to do; while there is no mall, there are large supermarkets such as Robinsons and Tesco. There is an excellent night market, which runs all week with a large selection of delicious Thai food and where you can get fresh produce. If you feel the need for some western food options, there are plenty of excellent restaurants and café’s to choose from as there is a large expat community within Buri Ram. Buri Ram is surrounded by beautiful extinct volcano particularly Phanom Rung, a beautifully restored complex climbing to the summit of an extinct volcano. The surrounding countryside is chock-a-block with tradition and peppered with dozens of Khmer ruins. The most spectacular Angkor monument in Thailand is just minutes away from Buri Ram. Buri Ram united is the number one football team in Thailand too, and if you enjoy super car GT racing, Buri Ram holds regular racing nights. Buri Ram has great transport connections to lots of places including Laos, Koh Yai national park and of course Bangkok. The bus ride to Bangkok takes around 6-7 hours and runs rather regularly. This quaint school is right in the heart of the city near the night market and lakes, along with the expected 7/11’s.

School details

The children at school are aged between 3-4 years of age at the Nursery school and the prathom students are from the ages of 6-11 years old. The teacher will be teaching in the special and gifted program, which will prepare these children for the start of their school lives while focusing on developing their English skills. The class size varies but is normally between 20-25 students.

Requirements:

– Native English speaker

– Bachelor degree

– Available Immediately

– TEFL certificate / teaching experience

Accommodation

We will offer assistance with your accommodation. The accommodation ranges from 3,000-5,000 Baht.

Visa work permit

All work permit costs are covered and we provide assistance when obtaining work visas.
