Full-time Teaching Position in Gifu

Position: Full-time teacher

Starting date: (January 2016)

Location: Gifu city, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

Working schedule: 6 days a week (Half days on Mondays & Saturdays)

Due to the expansion of our school, we have a new position opening. This position is a split shift position as it would involve teaching at a kindergarten in the morning, and teaching teens/adults in our school in the evening/at night.

We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing ESL expert to add to our international staff. We'd like the applicant to be flexible and adept at handling kindergarten age students as well as being competent with adults. Full training will be given for both. Experience teaching either of these age groups (particularly younger age students) would be a huge asset, as would any familiarity with the GrapeSEED method of English teaching.

Our school classrooms are fully equipped with unlimited internet access, video / audio access and countless supplementary materials. The 3 schools are based in Ichinomiya City (Aichi Prefecture), Ginan Town and Gifu City (Gifu Prefecture).

Necessary requirements:

- Native English speaker.

- Bachelor’s Degree.

- TESOL / ESL training and experience in an ESL setting.

- The ability to plan enjoyable, high quality lessons for a variety of classes.

- Possess a positive attitude.

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience living overseas for a minimum of 6 months.

- Japanese is an asset, as is any other second language.

- The ability to adhere to curriculum planning deadlines.

- International drivers license.

Compensation & benefits

- Starting salary: ¥200,000/month (while training), rising to ¥300,000/month after 3 months

- Performance bonuses.

- Fully furnished shared staff accommodation. ¥40,000 / month plus shared utilities and internet, as well as refundable deposits.

- Visa sponsorship.

- Travel bonus, as well as a contract completion bonus.

- Company will provide a cell phone if needed - call charges to be paid by you.
