We are searching for a teacher with experience of delivering a combination of subjects, to IGCSE, from: Economics, Geography, History, Global Perspectives and Religious Studies.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate:
- Will have experience teaching IGCSE humanities subjects from: Economics, Geography, History and/or Global Perspectives. An ability to offer Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 would be an advantage;
- will be a dedicated subject specialist teacher capable of inspiring students;
- will have a full working knowledge of the English National Curriculum and an ability and aspiration to attain high standards;
- will have either experience of working with Endlish Langauge Learners (ELL) or a desire to broaden his/her experience and skills in EAL teaching and learning strategies as well as a commitment to support content and language integrated learning (CLIL);
- will have assessment for learning skills;
- will have a flexible approach to working within the school curriculum and structures;
- have demonstrated an appreciation of the value of the extra-curricular dimension in developing the potential of students;
- will have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive approach to professional development particularly in the areas of EAL and ICT;
- will be internationally minded;
- will be a fully-qualified teacher able to provide two up-to-date professional referees (normally one will be from the current head) and a CRB check at Enhanced level.
