English Language Teacher Trainers Required in the UAE

 
Chase are delighted to announce we are currently seeking qualified English teacher trainers for immediate openings at Schools in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah & Al Ain in the UAE.

The teacher trainer is the first point of contact for teachers and he/she is responsible for maintaining effective communication channels between teachers and management. They must also mentor, support and develop teachers in their schools through observation, model teaching and delivery of professional development programmes to support school wide reform.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Planning & Coordination: Teachers are responsible for assisting and monitoring planning, managing and improving the learning of their team. They work with other team members to continually improve curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment strategies in line with MOE policies and procedures.

Development: Facilitate professional development. Plan and deliver regular professional development sessions.

Management and Support: Keep accurate and on-going records of daily activities, training sessions, assessment recording and implementation of strategies in the classroom. Support identified lead teachers in planning weekly subject meetings and grade level collaboration sessions

Monitoring and Assessment

Ensure assessments are delivered according to the assessment strategy and guidelines, in a valid and rigorous manner. Teachers observe MOE teachers in a timely and supportive manner, frequently and objectively, regularly updating the necessary systems and support units and providing constructive feedback and dialogue.

Liaison

Teachers liaise with their teaching team members and Zone Specialist, ensuring information exchange, coordination of efforts and specific support for learning initiatives within their individual discipline and across the MOE network.

Minimum Job requirements:

Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the EFL field (with experience of competency-based and interactive learning strategies).

Evidence of continual professional development and a proactive approach to career progression

Experience with teacher support and/or curriculum and assessment development planning.

Need to have a UAE Driving license (or should have a valid license that can be easily transferable to UAE) as the role involves a lot of travelling on a day-to-day basis.

Desirable:

Teacher training experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

Committed to innovation in Teaching and Learning initiatives, with a positive “can do” attitude and willingness to promote life-long learning across MOE.

Able to work and organize work load to independently in order to meet challenging KPIs

Strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Sound understanding of technologies that support educational development with an interest in keeping up to date with technological developments.

Student-centered approach to teaching with an aptitude to work with Arab youth.

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline or education.

CELTA / Cert TESOL (or recognised Level 5 equivalent) + a minimum of 3 years post CELTA teaching experience

Desirable:

DELTA (TEFL Q status)

MA TEFL

Language

Excellent oral and written English essential (IELTS 8 Academic for non-native speakers)
