Nakhon Sawan is a provincial capital, 250km (3 hours drive) north of Bangkok. Being on the road to Chiang Mai and so close to Bangkok means that there are excellent transport links to other parts of the country by bus or train. Nakhon Sawan is a town far from the well-beaten tourist trail and is best known for it’s large Chinese population. It’s a great place in which to learn more about the ‘real’ Thailand and to embrace Thai culture.
