Position: 2 x Full-time teachers

Starting date: Training starts beginning of March 2016

Location: Kasamatsu, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

Working schedule: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)

The position

Due to the expansion of our school, we have a new position opening. This position is working at an affiliated kindergarten, teaching kindergarten age kids in the morning, and elementary age children in the afternoon. The teaching resources and curricula will come from the GrapeSEED method. Full training will be provided.

The working hours will be from 10:00am - 6:45pm with a 45 minute break included. Responsibilities include teaching classes in the morning and some afternoons, helping kids get ready for lunch, eating lunch with the children, preparing and planning classes, and interacting in English with the kids as much as possible.

The candidate

We are looking for a hard-working, flexible teacher who wants to teach very early age learners. The candidate will ideally have experience in a kindergarten or nursery setting, and will enjoy teaching & interacting with children.

The candidate should also have the ability to plan fun activities, be outgoing, be willing to assist other staff members, and be able to organize their time in the most efficient way possible. Any familiarity with the GrapeSEED method of English teaching would be highly regarded.

Necessary requirements:

- Native English speaker.

- Bachelor’s Degree.

- TESOL / ESL training and experience in a young learner ESL setting.

- The ability to plan enjoyable, high quality lessons for young learners.

- Possess a positive attitude.

- Be flexible.

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience living overseas for a minimum of 6 months.

- Japanese is an asset, although not necessary

- The ability to adhere to curriculum planning deadlines.

- International drivers license.

Compensation & benefits

- Starting salary: ¥250,000/month

- Performance bonuses.

- Fully furnished shared staff accommodation. ¥40,000 / month plus shared utilities and internet, as well as refundable deposits.

- Visa sponsorship.

- Travel bonus, as well as a contract completion bonus.

- Company will provide a cell phone if needed - call charges to be paid by you.
