English Trainer - Mikindani, Mtwara

 
Trade Aid is a UK registered charity which works with and supports Trade Aid Tanzania, a Tanzanian non profit-making Trust. It is a partnership between the national, regional and local government of Tanzania, the community of Mikindani and Trade Aid. The focus of Trade Aid's work is the town of Mikindani, situated in the southern region of Mtwara - the poorest in Tanzania. Poverty in Mikindani is endemic. There are very few jobs, no social security system and limited medicines. One out of every five children will not live to see their fifth birthday.

Trade Aid is a UK educational charity offering vocational training in Mikindani, coastal Tanzania, based in a restored 100 year old German fort. We wish to recruit an English Trainer to train up to 40 local adults in English and basic IT skills. This 18-month placement is a voluntary one although Trade Aid will fund travel costs, provide full board and pay a monthly allowance of £200. This is an unaccompanied post.

The successful applicant should be a non-smoker, in robust health with English as a first language. All applicants must be available to attend an interview in the UK.
