Native, English-speaking FEMALE Teachers Needed in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan

We are recruiting a qualified Primary Teacher to teach in an International School in Sendai City Japan. The school is a diverse learning environment with over 20 nationalities teaching and learning everyday.

THE SCHOOL

The school is based in Sendai City which is based about 1-2 hours by the JR Tohoku Shinkansen. With roughly one million inhabitants, Sendai (仙台) is by far the largest city in the Tohoku Region and one of the country’s 15 largest cities. The school has a safe, healthy and nurturing environment that reflects the schools purpose and is characterised by respect for differences, trust, caring, professionalism, support and high expectations for each student. The staff at the school also enjoy providing a range of extra-curricular activities to students within their own personal tastes from arts, music, language or environment related programs. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Primary Teacher will follow the internationally recognised Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP). This framework provides learning goals for each stage, comprising of Cambridge Checkpoint, External Benchmark, and provide a detailed structured system for reporting to parents. The CIPP has been designed to be culturally sensitive and combine the teachers own materials with local, national and international examples.

The school is an IB (International Baccalaureate) World School Implementing the Diploma Programme and hence will provide a seamless continuum of programs for all of the students in PreK~12.

REQUIREMENTS

The Primary Teacher should have 3 years experience teaching in a Primary setting preferably with lower years. the Candidate should hold a Bachelor in primary Education or equivalent, valid teaching license from the teachers own country. Candidates should be native English speakers.
