Paid ESL Summer and Fall Internships

ePerformax is seeking interns interested in teaching English to our employees who have already learned English as a second language. Once completing our train-the-trainer program, interns will be responsible for teaching a six-hour class 5-6 days a week and conducting one-on-one supplemental English training for employees at various levels of English proficiency to help them improve their grammar and speaking skills. This program includes two weeks of paid training followed by a six or 10-week paid internship depending on whether you are accepted into the summer or fall internship respectively.

The Philippines is a collection of beautiful tropical islands where living costs are low. The local people are very service-oriented and generally speak English very well. ePerformax is the largest privately-held contact center in the Philippines, where we have been operating for more than 12 years in two locations, Manila and Cebu. We currently employ more than 5,000 employees, who speak English to support U.S. Fortune 500 companies. We are known for our quality ESL testing and training and, as a result, deliver superior performance for our clients in comparison to our competitors.

Schedule: Summer internship between June 1-July 31, 2016; fall internship between August 1-October 31, 2016; or extended internship between June 1-October 31, 2016.

Location: Interns will teach ESL classes at one of two ePerformax corporate offices in Makati City (Manila) or Cebu City.

Qualifications: Interns must be native English speakers and be able to pass our internal English proficiency test. Must currently have or working towards a degree/certificate teaching English as a second language with experience teaching English as a second language preferred. Must have U.S. passport prior to departure that expires no less than six months after return date. Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Training/Support: After arrival in the Philippines, interns will attend a two-week orientation and train-the-trainer workshop facilitated by experienced training professionals for preparation to teach a class of approximately 12 employees. All lesson plans and materials will be provided. Staff will provide feedback and guidance throughout the internship.
