The Job

Shane English Schools China (SESC) offers you the opportunity to experience the fascinating and wildly different culture of China first hand with the support and expertise of one of the largest British owned EFL organizations in Asia. We are now holding interviews for professional and motivated teachers dedicated to making learning fun and effective.

Established in 2001 Shane currently operates in over 24 cities across China. We are well known as a market leading language school. Shane English School in Shijiazhuang is one of the newest additions, opening its doors in September 2011. The school boasts a modern fresh design and up to date teaching materials and technology.

Students

The majority of our students are young learners aged from 3 to 14 years old and teachers enjoy teaching to a variety of ages throughout the week. Adult classes are also taught. Teacher training and support is seen as key at Shane and we provide a one week training program at the start of your contract as well as on-going training and support in the form of workshops, seminars, class observations from your Academic Manager.

Shijiazhuang – The city

As the capital city of Hebei, north China, Shijiazhuang is the province’s center of politics, economy, technology, finance, culture, and information. Located on the edge of the North China Plain in China, Shijiazhuang is about 283 kilometers south of Beijing.

Besides its fast growth in economy, Shijiazhuang also develops very well in its tourism, thanks to its beautiful natural scenery and its historical position in the revolutionary history of China. Among the wonders to see in and around the city are Zhaozhou bridge, the oldest in China and listed as a world heritage site by the UN, it is over 1,400 years old.

With great food, extremely friendly people and a cosmopolitan atmosphere, it’s no wonder our teachers often decide to stay for two, three or more years.

Job Duties

• 20 hours teaching per week
• Lesson planning
• Take part in school parties and events

Compensation

• Excellent salary: 10,000 RMB per month
• Housing allowance: 800 RMB / month
• Flight allowance: 4,200 RMB
• Legal ‘Z’ work visa
• 12 days public holidays plus 10 days extra holidays
• Contract completion bonus: 3,000 RMB

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa
• Teaching experience preferred
