Who we are:

We are an English Language Academy located in Tomelloso, Ciudad Real in Castilla La Mancha. We offer the opportunity to learn English with native speakers to people of all levels and ages, our ‘pequeños’ are from just 3 years old and our ‘grandes’ up to any age! There are a variety of courses available, ranging from more informal conversation to preparation for the Cambridge English exams and other official English qualifications. We are a dynamic and diverse Spanish/ English team who love teaching not just the technical side of English but also imparting titbits about our culture, hobbies and who we are!

Job Description:

We are offering two placements for the academic year 2016/2017 [beginning of October to end of June]. The job will involve teaching students of a range of ages, following a structure set by the academy, with unlimited guidance and monitoring. The teacher will be required to plan their own lessons, the majority of groups in conjunction with a textbook but others as stand-alone classes. The teacher will of course be fully supported, with access to materials, previous lesson plans and assistance and management on behalf of the director. This is a great opportunity for students willing to improve their Spanish as Tomelloso is a small city where they will find themselves in the position to really integrate into the local society and interact with a remarkably friendly community. It also has the added bonus of being located just one and a half hours from Madrid and in the centre of Spain making it the perfect place from which to visit all the important sites and cities that Spain has to offer!

Language Requirements:

It is helpful to have a basic to intermediate level of Spanish (A-level minimum), although this is not essential, and a very good understanding of the English language particularly with regards to grammar and vocabulary.
Above all, we are looking for an outgoing, hardworking individual with an interest in teaching who is looking to gain firsthand experience.
