Native English Teacher

Full-time, Tue.-Sat. 200,000-250,000 yen/month. 

Canadian Voice English School is a small but quickly growing “English conversation school” (or “eikaiwa” in Japanese) located in Nagano City. We currently have 2 branches, one near Nagano Station, and a newer one in Kawanakajima. We teach all ages, from 2 to 82 (and up), as we like to say. We focus on teaching our students to speak and converse naturally by teaching everything from simple requests and every day expressions to high-level business English.

Due to our company's continued growth, we are in need of another dedicated and talented Native English speaker to teach at our schools in Nagano city.  Right now we are offering a position with a starting guaranteed salary of 200,000 yen per month for the first 3 months, representing a trial period.  After the 3-month trial period, the salary will be increased to 250,000 yen per month, depending on one’s performance and attitude. If you have a positive attitude and a passion for teaching, you’re golden! 

Applicant must be:

1) college educated (BA/BS degree)

2) come from a country where English is the native language. 

3) interested in being a positive and passionate teacher.

4) able to commit for at least 1 year

5) able to use a computer and have decent typing skills

We are particularly interested in those candidates who have previous teaching experience, teaching experience in Japan, TESL/TEFL/TESOL certification. A basic ability in Japanese is also a huge plus.

We will assist with finding housing, and provide a work visa if necessary….

We are also looking for teachers who would like to spend more than just 1 year in Japan.

We will sponsor or renew a visa (if you have a university degree).
National holidays off, as well as spring / summer / winter holidays. (~1 week, ~2 weeks, ~2 weeks respectively)

One-year, renewable contract. Position starting in August 2016.
