VOLUNTEER ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS NEEDED FOR TIBETAN COMMUNITY IN NORTH INDIA
TIBET CHARITY is urgently seeking volunteers from July 20th 2016 to November 30th 2016 to teach EFL/ESOL to Tibetan adults.
www.tibetcharity.in located in McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala in Northern India, home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government in Exile.
WE OFFER
A structured syllabus using the Oxford ‘New English File’ text books with teacher’s books, from Elementary to Upper Intermediate.
Classes are 3 hours, Monday to Friday.

Assistance in finding accommodation, including homestays.
Beautiful location in the foothills of the Himalayas in a genuine Tibetan community - with many opportunities for Buddhist teachings, hiking, yoga, meditation classes, language studies, other volunteering and much more!
WHO WE NEED We are looking for independent-minded, enthusiastic teachers, qualified in teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language to Adults ( CELTA or equivalent). Volunteers must be able to meet their own financial expenses. We will also consider candidates with experience in different but related teaching fields, & newly qualified English teachers if they are particularly interested in our community. We prefer people who can commit for an entire semester.
OTHER LANGUAGES – French and Chinese
Many Tibetans also wish to learn French and Chinese, so if you are bi-lingual and able to teach one of these languages as well, please let us know.
