JEJU EEC is seeking a native English instructor/over 3.2M Salary/Ministry of Education

JEJU EEC (English Education Center) is looking for a responsible and competent native speaker of English to fill the role of Instructor for the JEJU EEC in Jeju Island.

1. Employment Period

- July 1st, 2016 through June 30th, 2017

- Working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00 pm with a one hour paid lunch break

2. Salary

- Gross salary of - 39,217,000 KRW (approx. $33,020) - Additional overtime payment

- -500,000 housing allowance per month

3. Benefits

- Initial settling-in allowance of -1,300,000 for overseas hires only

- Exit allowance of -1,300,000 paid to all employees after successful completion of a 12 month contract

- Jeju EEC will pay 50% of National health insurance and National Pension

- 18 days paid vacation

4. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- Citizen of a country where English is the primary language spoken and able to obtain an E2 visa in Korea

- A master's degree in English education or relevant education major

- A bachelor's degree in English education or relevant education major and two years of teaching experience

- A bachelor's degree and four years of teaching experience

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Experience proofreading and editing official documents

- Strong interpersonal skills

- The ability to effectively and cooperatively work in a team setting

- The flexibility to work in a culturally diverse environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Teaching certification from an accredited institution

- Experience with and teaching in the Korean K-12 public education system

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. software

- Understanding of Korean culture and language
