Invitation for Foreign Faculty Positions

The School of Liberal Arts at Chungwoon University, South Korea, invites outstanding applicants for Non–Tenure Track Assistant Professor Position for Fall semester 2016.

1. Job Description
Chungwoon University seeks to hire Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professors. The candidates are expected to teach English courses at Incheon campus of Chungwoon University. You will be teaching not only regular classes but also industrial consignment classes at night.

2. Qualifications
A. Essential
a) Native speaker of English
b) Master’s or higher degree in an English-related field
c) 2 or more years of teaching experience at Higher Education Institutions
B. Preferred
a) Ability to implement innovative instruction methods in class
b) Record of research and scholarly publication
c) Ability to develop programs and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in TEFL, TESOL, or Applied Linguistics
d) Ability to cooperate with colleagues
e) Candidates staying in Korea(Immediately contactable)
3. Working Conditions
A. Successful candidates are required to
a) Teach minimum of 15 hours per week during semesters. Excess hours will be paid in addition to the salary
b) Teach and research in one or more of the following areas
- TEFL
- TESOL
- Applied Linguistics
c) Participate in departmental, university, and community affairs
d) Provide counseling service for students
B. Salary and Benefits
a) Salary will be highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. (2,500,000won ~3,000,000won depending on qualifications)
b) If school cannot offer Housing, Housing allowance will be included in salary
c) Subsidized Medical Insurance and Teacher’s Pension Plan
