English Teacher

About: Language Canada is an after-school program that aims at creating an English learning environment that fosters students to become an effective communicator, a rational critical thinker, and a life-long curious learner. Language Canada adapt the “ICCI” model for students who wish to be part of this education learning community and strive to Imaginative, Critical Thinkers, Contributors, Inventors.

Duties: Teachers at Language Canada not only fulfill the minimal requirement of teaching, lesson planning, and assessing, but they also go above and beyond to satisfy the following:

• Design educational activities that promote social and intellectual growth of students
• Supervision and discipline students in and outside school environment.
• Enhance learning abilities and good habits in students.
• Become a positive mentor and role model to students.
• Present top-notch customer service in communicating with parents about students’ progress and development.
• Maintain classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness.
• Plan, develop, and implement appropriate curriculum.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and staff regarding students’ progress.
• Assist and support other teaching staff in implementing daily programs.
• Help children and students to discover their creativity.

Qualifications: We are looking for experienced, responsible, and creative teachers satisfying the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (Education a plus).
• Teaching certificate a plus but not required.
• Minimum 1 year experience of supervised teaching.
• Able to teach reading and writing and edit student papers.
• Able to handle difficult children with firmness and care a plus.
• Demonstrate the appropriate level of teaching skills and classroom management.
