FSES has an immediate opening for a motivated native English teacher . Some of the benefits of working for our school include:

Location – Yangpyeong is located in Gyeonggi Do, only 30 minutes from central Seoul by train but with excellent access to quiet countryside areas. The town is located on the banks of the South Han river, with two attractive riverside parks and all the amenities one might expect from a mid-size town. Besides the Korail train service, it is also on the Gyeongui-Jungang subway line.

Housing – A newer fully furnished studio apartment shall be provided within walking distance of the school. A relocation/moving expense may also be provided if necessary.

Management – The school owners are both American and Korean. They favor a hands-off management style, but are always available to assist teachers if needed.

Students – We teach students of all ages, from kindergarten to adult. Our class sizes are small – a maximum of 8, but most are smaller than that. Our teachers see the same students at the same times every day, Monday to Friday, allowing them to make a lot of progress together in a short time.

Curriculum – We use internationally produced textbooks, but teachers have a lot of freedom to teach the material however they want. There is space within the curriculum for teachers to implement their own ideas.

Team – We are a small school, with a tight knit team who maintain a close and supportive working relationship.

Hours and conditions – We work Monday to Friday, 10AM to 7 PM, which includes preparation time. There is no weekend work and no split shifts. Our salary is competitive and negotiable. Return airfare may be available at the completion of the contract. A sample FSES employment contract will be provide on request.
