Native Japanese Teacher

Full-time Japanese instructor needed.
Modulo is a modern, private, language school.

Modulo is launching a 5th language and we are looking for an experienced Japanese teacher interested in helping us setting it up. We've successfully added other languages in the past and have the expertise to make the project succeed with the right person. This person, on top of being our main Japanese teacher, would also be in charge of selecting and developing our Japanese teaching materials, as well as help recruit and train the other Japanese teachers.

The ideal candidate must have a good grasp of the language, an outstanding personality, and a willingness to improve as a teacher. Preferably, a qualified and experienced native Japanese speaker who is happy to teach a mix of age groups, though we mostly teach adults. We expect most students to be beginners. Experience is not absolutely necessary, as we provide a comprehensive paid training.

Candidates with experience teaching business Japanese are a plus.

The candidate MUST:
-hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent
-be available on evenings and weekends
-be a native Japanese speaker

Modulo pays a base wage of 400 baht per 50-minute lesson. A full-time teacher should expect to teach about 6 lessons a day, 5 days a week. Corporate and group classes pay more, the amount depending on the contract.

We mainly teach private (solo) plus a few semi-private (2-4 students) classes as well as the occasional small group (up to 8 students). Children typically study on the weekend while we teach adults 7/7. We also provide language services to corporate customers.

Modulo Language school has two branches located near the Rama 9 MRT station in the Central Plaza Rama 9 shopping center and near the BTS in Central World shopping center. Both schools are easily accessible by MRT or BTS. We teach all age groups and all skill levels. We offer our instructors paid training, continual guidance/professional development, and working with us is a great opportunity to practice a great variety of teaching skills and techniques.
