Kindergarten and Afterschool Teachers needed for Gangnam English Academy

We are looking for up to 6 native English teachers for our English Academy and Kindergarten in Apgujeong, at Sinsa Dong 649-4. Possible start date can range from now through March, 2017.

Kindergarten Homeroom/Afterschool Teacher
These teachers are responsible for one kindergarten classroom of 5, 6, or 7 year olds from 9:30-2:30 each day. Planning time is available when the students are taking subject classes like gym, science, music, art, and baking, at least 40 minutes each day, often more. After school, they teach a two-hour class from either 2:30-4:30 or 4:30-6:30.

Music Teacher
This teacher would teach 30-45 minute music classes to 5, 6, and 7 year old Kinder students between 10am and 2:15pm. There is no set curriculum, teacher needs to be able to create fun musical activities. Teaching songs, dances, basic instruments, and a love for music. There would be VERY little lecturing, the focus will be on participating and making music. A love for children and music is required, but a music degree or a beautiful singing voice is not. This teacher would also need to teach in our after school, which would not be music-related. He or she would teach our usual afterschool subjects, like reading and comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, social studies, debate, etc.

Science Teacher
This teacher would teach 30-45 minute Science classes to 5, 6, and 7 year old Kinder students between 10am and 2:15pm. Some classes would be textbook-based, some would use pre-packaged science experiments or projects, and some would require related activities or experiments sourced or created by the teacher. This teacher would also teach after school classes to 8 to 12 year old elementary students. Each week the teacher would be responsible for planning level appropriate experiments or fun science activities for the students to do. The focus should be on fun, active projects where students learn and do a lot of speaking, presenting, and some writing. Learning Science is important but our main purpose is getting our students speaking and writing in English!

Our school is very different from other hagwons. Founded by an American and Swedish couple in 2013 as an after-school academy, it is a genuinely fun environment with small classes (6-10 students) and lesson plans geared around speaking, writing, Science, Literature, Social Studies, and Debate, with plenty of games and activities. Requirements:
Experience with teaching children, preferably in Korea
Fluent, native English
Love for kids, great attitude, flexible mind, willing to try new methods
Creative approach to solving problems and getting the best out of kids
Smart, fun, kind, enthusiastic

Compensation:
KRW 3.0 - 3.6 million per month, depending on schedule, experience, and abilities

One month severance pay at end of contract
We help with finding housing and provide key money, but the rent is not included
15 days paid time off, in addition to Korean holidays
Generally, working hours will be 40 hours per week, (9:30-6:30 M-F with one hour break) and teaching hours about 30 hours per week.
