Okayama City - Full Time ALT Position (Okayama)

Details

This opening is for a full-time position as an assistant language teacher (ALT) in Okayama City, Okayama　prefecture starting in August 2016, with the initial contract finishing at the beginning of March 2017.

The placement will be in Elementary schools and Junior High Schools across Okayama City, where the ALT will assist as a team teacher and help plan English lessons under a schedule created by GLAD and the Board of Education. As well as teaching English lessons, you may also be asked to participate in other school activities such as clubs, cleaning of the school and cultural festivals.

Contract dates:

August 2016 - March 2017

Position Requirements

• Must be a native speaker of English, or have acquired an education in English for at least 12 years.
• Must have completed a University Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in English countries.
• Must be currently residing in Japan or have plans to come to Japan at your own expense.
• Must have a strong interest in Japanese culture and language and be able to connect with Japanese people.
• Must have at least one year of English teaching experience at Elementary school and Junior High School in Japan.
• Must have a valid visa status that allows you to live and work in Japan (Visa sponsorship available)

Conditions

• Base salary is \240,000~250,000 per month.
• Monday to Friday. 8:30am to 5:00pm.
• Transportation costs will be covered at a certain rate per month.
• Days off include weekends, National Holidays, and other holidays set on the Board of Education’s school calendar.
