Full-time Teachers Needed in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

I Can Read Vietnam is seeking full-time teachers to work at our Ho Chi Minh City centres immediately.

I Can Read is a literacy-based English teaching organisation active throughout Asia, and is currently growing rapidly in Vietnam. Our unique, specially-developed system helps students develop the literacy skills necessary to achieve excellence in all four skill areas. Paid full training will be provided, as will continual professional development. Our students tend to be between 3 and 15, so experience teaching young learners (especially very young learners) would be desirable. Equally important is a readiness to adapt to our special system, a positive attitude and an open and friendly personality. Our lessons are held on weekday evenings and weekends, though the amount of hours varies depending on the centre. It is also important that candidates are able to travel, as you may have to work in more than one centre on occasion.

Requirements: The successful candidates will be native speakers from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland or South Africa and hold a degree and a recognised teaching certificate. Applicants with a background in Early Childhood Development are especially desirable. Please bear in mind that our system is unique so you must be willing to adapt to our special approach.

Remuneration: Full-time teachers start at 37 million VND per month. 15 days paid leave per year. Paid sick leave and a 50/50 health insurance plan also available. Bonus paid upon successful completion of contract. Flight reimbursement available for teachers who travel from outside Vietnam and successfully complete the contract.
