VILLAGE SCHOOL

Village School is an international school near Guatemala City. We are an AdvancED accredited program based on Multiple Intelligences, Developmental Neuropsychology, and Active Learning. Village also offers free accredited professional development to all teachers as we are all learners with the desire to be at the forefront of education. The current enrollment includes students from different countries.

It is located just outside Guatemala City, about 30 minutes up the mountain. The school has been operating for 23 years and covers Grades 1-12 with a student population of nearly 700 students and 150 staff members. We have several expats working here from all over North and Central America.

Most classes are taught in English and we are a technological and data driven school. We also work hard to create a positive school community through our sports teams as well as several exciting events throughout the year.

Aside from working in a competitive International School, our teachers enjoy living in Guatemala due to the many diverse locations and activities the country offers. Guatemala has a great climate with a very rich culture and a variety of landscapes to explore. FACULTY OPPENINGS

LANGUAGE ART TEACHERS FOR -ELEMENTARY/ MIDDLE / HIGH SCHOOL-
Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in English or a related field with CELTA or similar international credential.

ESL/ESOL TEACHERS FOR -ELEMENTARY/ MIDDLE / HIGH SCHOOL-
Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in English or a related field with CELTA or similar international ESL/ESOL credential.

SCIENCE TEACHERS FOR -ELEMENTARY/ MIDDLE / HIGH SCHOOL-: (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General science and Laboratory)
Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree although a master's degree candidate will be given priority.

MATHEMATICS TEACHERS FOR-MIDDLE/HIGHSCHOOL-: (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus)
Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in mathematics although a master's degree candidate will be given priority.

DEUTSCHLEHRERFÜR MIDDLE- UND HIGH SCHOOL:
Nachweis von Sprachkenntnissen auf Niveau C1 durch Goethe-Zertifikat oder TestDaF. Unterrichtserfahrung und Spaß an der Arbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS:

2-5 years teaching experience, must be flexible, adapt to change, team player, positive oriented, excellent people skills, love working with young students, dynamic and encouraging in the classroom, Technology skills, responsible and objective and be ready to help enhance a strong international school
