ESL Teacher Position

Full-time university TEFL position with attractive benefits (annual bonus, savings plan, pension, healthcare, five weeks paid holiday). Our language program needs teachers who are independent, versatile, and require minimal support.

Universidad del Mar (UMAR), Puerto Angel Campus: UMAR is located between the towns of Puerto Angel and Zipolite on the southern coast of Oaxaca, Mexico, about one hour's drive from Huatulco and 90 minutes from Puerto Escondido.

Qualifications: A successful applicant will have a B.A. + CELTA/TEFL Certification or an M.A. in a relevant field and at least two years of classroom teaching experience, preferably overseas with young adult students.

Classes: Teachers teach 2-3 classes daily.

Wage: Depending on credentials, most teachers earn $13,000 MXN per month net, which is a very competitive local salary.

Start date: ASAP. New hires will need to register with Mexican immigration for their work visa before they can begin working. The process to obtain a work Visa in Mexico can take some time and must be started from within the candidate's own country.
