We are looking to add to our team of 20+ native English teachers. We are primarily looking for teachers starting in March, but we hire throughout the year, since we add students and open new classes regularly.
Winter Camp Teachers
December 26 - January 20, or any combination of weeks during that time. Our Winter Camp is awesome, and we need awesome teachers to help make it that way! Classes run from 9:30-2:30, so your working hours would be about 9:15-2:45. Pay is 550.000 per week. Grades K6-G5, you would teach one group of students throughout the day. We have a fun theme and activities each week, plus subjects like Science, Vocab, Grammar, Writing, Debate.
Imagine Winter Camp the way you would design it, without the pressure of finishing workbooks, instead focusing on actually teaching speaking and great writing, and having a lot of fun. We provide the themes and curriculum but give teachers a lot of latitude to make the class their own.
Kindergarten Homeroom/Afterschool Teacher
These teachers are responsible for one kindergarten classroom of 5, 6, or 7 year olds from 9:30-2:30 each day with a one hour lunch break. Planning time is available when the students are taking subject classes like gym, science, art, and baking, at least 40 minutes each day. After school, these teachers will have one full class from either 2:30-4:30 or 4:30 to 6:30, and sometimes half of the other session. So each afternoon includes at least 1-2 hours of planning time.
Our school is very different from other hagwons. Founded by an American and Swedish couple in 2013, it is a genuinely fun environment with small classes (6-10 students) and lesson plans geared around speaking, writing, Science, Literature, Social Studies, and Debate, with plenty of games and activities. Founded in September of 2013, we now have 20 foreign teachers and over 300 students, ages 5-12. You can read more on our website: GangnamEnglishAcademy.com.
