TIBET CHARITY is currently seeking volunteers for our upcoming term from the 6th March to 31st May 2017 to teach EFL/ESOL to Tibetan adults (please only apply for this term). Tibet Charity ( www.tibetcharity.in ) is located in McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala in Northern India, home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government in exile.
WHO WE NEED
1 We are looking for independent-minded, enthusiastic, experienced teachers, qualified in teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language to Adults (CELTA preferred or equivalent).
2 Volunteers must be able to meet their own financial expenses, including accommodation.
3 We will also consider candidates with significant experience in related teaching fields (eg primary ESL) and newly qualified EFL/ESOL teachers if they are particularly interested in our community.
We prefer people who can commit for an entire term. Our recruitment is ongoing so if you want to volunteer for a later term, or even for the following year, you can talk to us now.
WE OFFER
A structured syllabus using the ‘New English File’ text books with teacher’s books, from Elementary to Upper Intermediate. Classes are 2 and a half hours per day Monday to Friday.
