English Language Instructor - Kurdistan Region, Iraq

Job Title: English Language Instructor
Location: Duhok/Erbil
Job Type: 2 year full time contract (Part time positions also available for local hires)
Salary: $3,500 per month

Position Summary:
AUK invites applicants for the position of English Language Instructor. Key Responsibilities:
Instructors are required to teach General English (English as a Second Language) to adults and university students at all levels on the English Language Institute (ELI) programs in Duhok and Erbil.

Duhok:
ELI Preparatory Program
for university students needing to improve their English before entering the academic programs
ELI Community
adult language classes open to the public

Erbil:
ELI Community
adult language classes open to the public

Requirements of Position
Basic requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• CELTA or equivalent
• 2+ years of teaching experience to adult learners abroad in a classroom setting
• native or near-native English speaker

Preferred:
Master’s degree (preferably in the field of TESOL/Linguistics)
• experience teaching in the Middle East
