EP P1–6 (Grades 1-6) and M1-3 (Grades 7-9) Teachers

Saritdidet School is a government school with a well-established English program, friendly, easy-going staff, excellent resources and staff support. There are currently 27 native English-speaking teachers, teaching in the English Program. The English Program at Saritdidet School is reputable and has had positive results, including one student winning the gold award at the “Jewel in the Crown” national English competition and numerous students placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in various English Program Open House competitions.

We are looking for enthusiastic, well-organized, and flexible teachers to join our team at Saritdidet for the up coming academic year in May, 2017.

The EP teachers for each grade will be responsible for teaching one class (maximum size 40 students) eight subjects, for 18 hours per week; English 8 hrs, science 2 hrs, math 3 hrs, health 1 hr, art 1 hr, PE 1 hr, careers and technology 1 hr and club 1 hr. You will work alongside a Thai homeroom teacher, who teaches the remaining hours and in addition, you’ll have an English speaking Thai co-teacher present in your class, to assist you.

We provide a monthly salary (starting at B35,000 per month and subject to change each year), work permit and Thai health insurance scheme. There is also an opportunity to earn up to B5,000 extra per month, by teaching a few extra hours per week in the school's after school program. The successful candidates must pay for their own visas. We offer assistance with visas and work permits.

In return, you are expected to be punctual and present during office hours, which are 7:45am - 4:00pm, from May 1st , 2107 until March 31st, 2018. You will also be expected to help to train students for competitions, such as speech, storytelling, spelling bee and other contests. There may also be field trips, training and seminars that you would be expected to attend.

The right candidates will be native English speakers with a degree qualification, EFL certificate and at least a year's experience of teaching. We are unable to recruit applicants without at least a 3-year degree certificate such as BA or BSC in any discipline.
