Get Paid to Teach English in Thailand

HIGHLIGHTS

• Guaranteed position to teach English in a Thai primary or secondary school
• 5-month or 10-month commitment
• Dates: May-September and/or October-March
• 20-25 hours/week teaching, plus additional time on related tasks (lesson planning, grading, etc.)
• Local salary paid to teacher = roughly 25,000 THB/month
• Placements located throughout Thailand, often in smaller cities or towns rather than large cities

REQUIREMENTS

• Note: this program requires a Bachelor’s degree; participants must be at least 21 years old

DEADLINES

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We recommend you apply at least 12 weeks before your program start to have sufficient time to get your placement, obtain your visa and make your plans. Final application deadline: March 1, 2017 (May start) / August 1, 2017 (October start)

• API advisor to assist you with all pre-departure needs, including visa assistance, and liaise with partner throughout program
• Airport pick-up / arrival assistance
• Housing (Your host school will provide you with basic, clean, comfortable furnished housing in a teachers' apartment or dormitory. You will cover the cost of utilities.)

• On-site program orientation (5-6 days) - Bangkok (May) - Chiang Mai (October)
• On-site support from partner and host school
• Transfer to placement city from orientation site
