BFITS (Bright Future and International Training Services) is now interviewing prospective subject teachers for direct hire teaching positions in the 2017/2018 academic year starting in March or April 2017. Opportunities to teach with the English Program (EP) in a variety of subjects across Thailand.

Science_Teacher

SCIENCE TEACHER

BFITS teaches integrated sciences for Grades 7 to 9. The following are the locations for science teachers:
Central Thailand:
Bangkok (Silom) 2 positions: #1 - Grade 8 Science Teacher: 15 hours (3 classes x 5 hours - 3 classes per grade level); #2 - Grade 9 Teacher: 15 hours (3 classes x 5 hours - 3 classes per grade level)
Bangkok (Wong Wian Yai) 1 position: Grade 7 and 8 Science/English Lit/History Teacher: 17 hours (2 classes x 5 hours Science/1 class x 5 hours English Lit/ 1 class x 2 hours History - 1 class per grade level)
Bangkok (Chaengwattana) 2 positions: #1 - Grade 7 Science/English Lit Teacher: 17 hours (3 classes x 3 hours Science/2 classes x 3 hours English Lit/1 hour x 1 class English Conversation/1 hour x 1 class Mentoring - 7 classes per grade level); #2 - Grade 7 Science/English Lit Teacher: 18 hours (4 classes x 3 hours Math/2 class x 3 hours English Lit - 7 classes per grade level)

BFITS teaches Language Arts for Grades 1 to 6 and English Literature & Grammar for Grades 7 to 9. The following are the locations for English teachers:
Central Thailand:
Prathomthani (Rangsit) 1 position: Grade 7 and 8 English Lit Teacher: 20 hours (4 classes x 5 hours - 2 classes per grade level)


Northeastern Thailand:
Buriram 2 positions: #1 - Grade 10, 11 and 12 English Lit Teacher: 15 hours (3 classes x 5 hours - 1 class per grade level); # 2 - Grade 1, 2, 3 and 4 Language Arts/Health Teacher: 15 hours (4 classes x 3 hours + 1 hour tutoring at risk - 1 class per grade level)
Nong Khai 1 position: Grade 8 English Lit/Conversation/History/Health Teacher: 16 hours (2 classes x 5 hours English Lit/2 classes x 2 hours English Conversation/2 classes x 2 hours History/2 classes x 2 hours English Through Science/2 classes x 1 hour Health - 2 classes per grade level)

Benefits:

  • 40,300 baht (EP/Content) salary per month plus 500 baht per hour if overtime.
  • 12 month (EP/Content) academic year contract that can be extended for additional years and additional benefits.
    *No unpaid months or reduced pay due to school holidays or reduced teaching hours
  • Monthly supplemental attendance bonus of 750 baht per month.
  • End of Contract bonus up to 34,000 baht.
  • Guaranteed yearly 3% cost of living pay increase.
  • BUPA medical and dental insurance paid.
  • Dependent tuition reimbursement up to 10,000 baht for children enrolled in a BFITS program at a partner school.
  • 2 weeks paid vacation (additional weeks for additional years of employment up to 4 weeks).
  • All Thai government holidays off with pay (13-15 days annually)
    *These are mandatory government holidays in addition to the paid vacation.
  • Paid personal/sick days (unused personal days reimbursed at 500 baht per day at end of contract).
  • Assistance in visa extension and obtaining a Non-B visa (Teacher must provide proper documentation-Original degree/TEFL).

Working Conditions:

  • Teaching hours range from 15-20 hours a week.
  • Class sizes range from 25-35 students per class with air conditioned classrooms and LCD projectors.
  • School hours are approximately 07.30am-4.00pm Monday to Friday. School hours vary with each school.
  • Curriculum and lesson plans are already developed and provided for each teacher.
  • All teaching materials are supplied by BFITS in digital format on a notebook computer: Teacher Editions, Student Editions, Interactive Whiteboard and pre-made PowerPoints, Learning Management System (LMS)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned subjects to assigned classes as per schedule provided.
  • Adapt and deliver PowerPoint lessons from Interactive Whiteboard provided by BFITS.
  • Modify and adapt lessons to meet the needs of your class.
    PLEASE NOTE: Lessons are delivered via notebook computer using Powerpoint.
    IT skills are a necessary.
  • Maintain weekly school office hours.
  • Maintain student grading/assessment using company online Learning Management System.
  • Attend office meetings or professional development workshops held during office hours.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Native English Speaker (Passport and Degree from USA,Canada, UK, or Australia).
  • Bachelor's Degree (preference given to degrees in education or content area wishing to teach).
  • TEFL/TESOL Certification.
  • Police Clearance.
  • Basic Office/IT Skills.
  • One or more years teaching experience preferred (non-experienced teachers will be considered provided they have degrees specific to the content to be taught).

The English Program (EP) is an academic program where students are taught all subjects using English as the medium of instruction, with the exception of Thai language, Thai history, and Buddhism.
