ESL Teacher, Adana, Turkey

• Pay is based on education and experience
• Free housing + electricity + water (total value of 1200 TRY/mo)
• Assistance with work permit prior to work start date

• Teaching load of approximately 20 hours/week
• Workload of approximately 40 hours/week
• Shuttle service from home to school and school to home
• 2.5 months of paid vacation

Minimum Requirements

• US citizen
• Native speaker of English
• High school degree
• A minimum of 1 year commitment

Preferred Requirements

• College Degree
• TEFL/TESOL Certificate
• 1 to 3 years of experience teaching ESL
• Enthusiasm about working with ESL learners in k-8 settings
• Passion for teaching and learning
• Experience in a diverse learning community, including learning a foreign language and/or living in a society other than the United States
• Patience and flexibility for working with individuals in a culturally diverse environment
• A true passion for teaching and a strong desire to improve learning outcomes and student experiences
• Experience teaching overseas or learning a second language a strong plus
• Adventurous, sense of humor, reflective, flexible
