Math, Science and English Teachers

Panyarat High School is a bilingual school which places an emphasis on Science and Mathematics while also focusing on teaching 21st century learning and innovation skills needed for success in the global marketplace. To that end, all students have their own Chromebooks, all classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards, and education technology is utilized by teachers across all subjects. We are looking for highly motivated and capable teachers to join our team and help continue the development of our program. Teachers at PHS are encouraged to employ new and innovative teaching methods which make full use of the technology available. With an abundance of resources, a maximum of 26 students per class, and a manageable workload of no more than 17 contact hours per week, both students and teachers are able to experience a rewarding and engaging learning environment.

The foreign staff are a cohesive group and we welcome team players who are passionate about teaching as well as share our educational philosophy. As we enter our 6th year of rapid growth and expanding student enrollment we are hiring for the following positions:

Science Teacher (Grades 7-12)
The PHS Science Department embraces learning through hands-on laboratory experiments and use of educational technology. PHS is looking for enthusiastic educators who are able to engage students and inspire their passion for learning science. We welcome applications from experienced science teachers with expertise in chemistry, physics and biology. Experience teaching the British IGCSE / A-level curriculum will be distinctly advantageous.

Mathematics Teacher (Grades 7-12)
Mathematics teachers at PHS typically only teach two different grade levels during an academic year but should be able to teach all middle school and high school topics including pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability and statistics, precalculus and calculus.

English Teacher (Grades 7-12)
The English teacher will be responsible for teaching English at middle school and/or high school level. The school teaches to an international standard and knowledge of the UK/US English curriculum is essential. A strong background in teaching academic writing is necessary.

Working Requirements:
Teachers will teach a maximum of 17 hours per week.
Working hours are Monday – Friday, 7:50 am – 4:00 pm.
Teachers will be required to attend parent meetings and school events on weekends periodically throughout the year.

Employment Criteria:
Must be a native English speaker from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject area.
Minimum experience of three years teaching in a high school, preferably in Thailand.
Experience with or willing to learn 21st Century teaching methodology, including Google Apps for Education, Moodle (Learning Management System), interactive smartboards and educational software, Web 2.0 websites and Digital Citizenship.

Compensation:
Salary starts at 75,000 baht/month plus a 15,000 baht housing allowance.
12 month contract with paid holidays in April and October.
Health insurance.
Work permits and visa extensions will be provided.
