Qualified Early Years & Kindergarten Teachers - Hong Kong

We are recruiting Kindergarten and Early Years Teachers for schools in Hong Kong. We work with 9 centres in Hong Kong that specialise in kindergarten and early years education. The centres are IB World Schools and are fully accredited to provide IB education for ages 2 – 6. They have been providing world class education to children for over 50 years and are renowned in Hong Kong for high standards and their excellent teaching staff.

The schools implement a bi-lingual teaching approach to strengthen the children’s bi-lingual and tri-lingual abilities, and provide strong supports in writing and reading in English. The kindergarten and early years education is an inquiry based approach, and aims to develop students into life-long learners.

The schools offer students innovative learning and teaching environments, with professional development and support to develop teachers’ abilities, support their visions and help children reach their full potential.

The posts are to start in August 2017, and the basic contracts are 2 years with all benefits and holidays included. (Benefits for the role are listed to the right). Teachers can take advantage of further IB training and look to progress to positions such as PYP Coordinator, Literacy Coach and Head Teacher within the group of schools.

About The School
The schools teach the IB curriculum to 2-6 year olds. Classes typically have between 24-30 children in a class. Abilities and English language comprehension vary. Support comes in the form of PYP coordinators and management up to the Head Teacher. The IB curriculum is a world renowned curriculum and training and experience is valued by teachers of all backgrounds.

Qualification And Requirements
For this position, you are required to be a qualified teacher who holds either a Bachelor of Education or a PGCE certificate. A degree related to early childhood is beneficial but is not mandatory. You should have more than 1 year of experience, and the role is ideal for those with 1-5 years of experience. The more experienced you are, the greater the prospects for promotion to senior management. You will be asked to provide proof of your educational and professional qualifications if you are shortlisted for the role.

Salary: HKD 40,230 - 57,360 p.m

Duration: 2 years with opportunity to renew
