Music Teacher

Varee Chiang Mai International School is looking for a primary music teacher with at least 1 years experience of teaching Music, to teach a range of classes from Early Years to Year 6 (ages 3-11) from April 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter. This post may be of interest to an ASEAN citizen.

You will need to be a highly motivated practitioner dedicated to providing stimulating, well planned lessons for primary aged children. A strong commitment to working closely with parents and colleagues and placing children’s health and safety at the centre of your classroom organisation is essential.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a music related field, and ideally a teaching qualification although consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that they have teaching experience without a teaching qualification.
The ability to communicate in English is essential. A TOEIC certificate to demonstrate this would be an advantage but is not essential.
The ability to read music is essential. The ability to play the piano would be a great advantage, but is not essential.
The successful candidate will also be required to do some hours as a classroom assistant.
This position may suit an ASEAN citizen (Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam etc)
