The School

A family of well-established schools in Taichung is searching for an additional foreign teacher. We currently employ several foreign teachers and over 100 Taiwanese teachers. Within our group of schools, we have 4 kindergartens and two English buxibans. Our schools are based around Taichung in Dajia, Qing Shui, and Fengyuan Districts. These areas have a wealth of culture and are ideal for anyone interested in studying Mandarin Chinese.

The Position

The position is available in May and includes both part-time work at our kindergarten and full-time work at our buxiban in Qing Shui. The working hours would be Monday to Friday from 1:50pm to 9:00pm. During the week you would be expected to teach 7 hours at kindergarten and around 13 hours at the buxiban. The kindergarten and buxiban are located in the same building complex. For those interested in studying Mandarin Chinese, this position would leave your mornings completely free for you to take classes at the local university, a fifteen minute commute away.

The Candidate

We are searching for talented, energetic people that have a genuine interest in the culture of Taiwan and the academic progress of our students. The ideal candidate does not necessarily need extensive teaching experience, but will more importantly possess a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

As far as minimum requirements, all candidates must be Native English speakers from the UK, Ireland, Canada, the US, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa and must also possess a 4-year university diploma. A degree in education, TEFL Certification, and/or experience would be a plus!
