Qualified Early Years Teacher

Varee Chiang Mai International School opened its new Early Years and Primary phases in August 2016 and due to continued expansion is seeking to recruit an Early Years teacher to start in August 2017 or earlier if possible.

Varee Chiang Mai International School seeks to offer all the benefits of an international education, following the UK National Curriculum, whilst at the same time actively promoting Thai language and culture. About 40% of our students are Thai, a third mixed race Thai/European and the remainder overseas students.

The school is located close to the centre of Chiang Mai, the bustling capital of Thailand's northern Lanna region: an area of misty mountains, Buddhist temples and diverse Hill Tribe cultures, as well as a thriving ex-pat social scene.

We are seeking to recruit an Early Years teacher, initially for a Nursery Class. The essential qualities required are:-
B.Ed or Bachelor's degree + PGCE
QTS
At least 1 year’s experience teaching the UK national curriculum, either in the UK or an international school

Please note that this position is NOT suitable for TEFL teachers who do not possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

The following qualities would also be desirable:-
A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
An ability to work with diverse groups of colleagues and students.
A flexible attitude as this new project unfolds.
