The English program at Pichilemu Language School is a community-oriented project that has been offering quality and accessible English classes to all Pichileminos since 2005. Teachers in our team are people who love teaching and want to provide a great experience of language learning to all their students. ESL teaching is more than language proficiency, and at our school, we believe our students can learn much more than grammar and vocabulary. ESL teaching can be a great tool to explore our local and international world, and we are looking for a teacher who will guide our students in this journey of discovery.

Requirements
ESL certified
1 year experience teaching
Degree in Education *an asset
Curriculum development experience *an asset
Currently located in Chile *preferred
Able to teach starting April, 2017

Responsibilities
Work between 30 to 40 hours per week at the institute. 6 hours of teaching in classroom.
Teach small groups, all ages and levels
Plan, organize and deliver lesson plans that use appropriate teaching techniques and strategies to meet students' needs and interests.
Provide a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to take an active role in learning and incorporate a challenging and enriching space for growth.
Develop creative, fun and interesting learning materials and activities that increase students' opportunities to speak English and gain confidence in their language skills.
Collaborate with other teacher(s) and Director by sharing materials and brainstorming ideas to improve the school and classes.
Assist with daily administrative tasks at the school and help with special events.
Contribute to maintaining a professional and friendly environment for everyone.

Net salary of $350,000 CLP monthly (take home pay) to cover some of your expenses (includes access to Fonasa, health coverage and two weeks of paid vacation for long term contracts).

The School
Located in Chile's surf capital, Pichilemu, the school functions as an English and Spanish language learning facility. You will likely find our staff fostering cross-cultural exchanges between students. We are located on the third floor of a building in the town center.
