Founded in 2009 in Khujand, Tajikistan LLC, StudyThePlanet helps individual and corporate customers to identify their educational needs and develop individualized solutions by offering wide variety of educational services including: short-term and long-term study abroad programs and courses, English as a Second Language (ESL) courses both in Tajikistan and abroad, test preparation services (TOEFL, GRE), language partner programs, language immersion, interpretation and translation services, and much more.

To provide wider access to educational opportunities for residents of Sugd Region, StudyThePlanet, LLC is expanding its operations in different corners of the region. StudyThePlanet is currently recruiting English as Second Language (ESL) and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Instructors to join its team in Khujand, Tajikistan.

Qualifications:

• A degree from an accredited university of higher education (education/teaching degrees preferred);
• Previous experience as an English language teacher/trainer/consultant;
• Previous experience as Peace Corps Volunteer/Teaching Assistant/Volunteer Abroad (desirable)
• Experience developing an English language curriculum for individual and corporate needs;
• Knowledge of interactive teaching methodologies and openness to team-teaching;
• Travel/study experience in the U.S/Central Asia or other English speaking country (desirable);
• Familiarity with Central Asian countries and culture (desirable);
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and with colleagues;
• Strong communication skills both written and oral; Strong presentation skills;
• High level of professionalism and commitment to educational excellence;
• Computer skills and proficiency with MS Office;
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;

Responsibilities:
Some of the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Teaching English/TOEFL to individual and corporate clients;
• General classroom management; identifying talent, inspiring students, advising and mentoring;
• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to current students (high-school, university, graduate, and professionals)
• Closely working with other teachers/consultants to prepare lesson materials, practice exercises and give inspiration to new program/project ideas.
• Assistance with developing, implementing and evaluating educational training programs;
• Advising, Coaching, and Mentoring students/clients on study abroad;
• Devising and producing audio and visual materials to accompany language lessons;
• Monitoring progress and providing appropriate feedback on students’ oral and written work;
• Administrative tasks such as report writing and record keeping on each student/participant;
