English Teachers Needed in Karbala, Iraq

We are a global, US based non-profit organization who focuses on caring for orphaned children. Our goal is to eradicate poverty through targeted education. In our Academy, along with English we teach our students Technology, Character Building and Martial Arts.

As one of our English teachers you will be responsible for teaching English to grade 6 orphaned students (ages 10-13). You will be provided a structured curriculum, complete with text books, work-books and teacher’s manuals. You will be teaching children 2-3 hours during the day and a class for adults in the evening (only 2x per week).

You will be housed in a large house (4 full baths, kitchen, etc) and share the dwelling with one additional teacher. Pay will be $500-$1000 USD/month depending on experience. We will also pay for your flight from your origin country.

Our students are extremely fast and ambitious learners. All past teachers have fallen in love with these kids after teaching just one class!

We are looking for an energetic type personality. It is a fun environment. Because of the nature of our project, you will feel like you have truly contributed to society. You must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least a year of experience working with (preferably teaching) children (irrespective of what subject you taught). Must be a native English speaker.
