Manager in South Korea

Job Description

Manager in South Korea

WILS Language School is seeking an experienced EFL teacher with strong communication skills for a salaried teaching and management position.

While the role will include classroom teaching hours, your primary responsibilities will be communication between the academy’s President and hourly teaching staff, oversight of medium-to-long-term tasks such as testing and syllabi, and coordination of the academy’s study-abroad program.

The majority of our classes are afternoon EFL classes for elementary school students. Applicants should have experience in this sector and feel confident in performing tasks such as inductions for new teachers and classroom observations, for example.

An equally important part of your role is coordination of WILS’ study-abroad program. Primarily, these duties concern Korean middle and high school students studying in international schools and the UK. You will have responsibility for communication between the students, their parents, and their schools. Additionally, upon their return to Seoul during school vacations, you will help coordinate their program of classes, private study, and other activities. This is likely to include some subject teaching hours. Consequently, applicants with experience of subject teaching and the UK education system will be viewed favorably, although this is not essential.

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits that include the cost of your flights to and from Korea; provision of an expenses-paid private apartment in central Seoul, no more than 15 minutes walk from WILS; health insurance; and pension contributions.

Please send a cover letter and your CV to Jacob Rod at wilsrecruits@gmail.com
