ESL Couples position with lots of perks

We are a South African married couple who are concluding our year contract at a mid sized Hagwon in Chungju and are looking for a couple or individual to take over from where we left off. We’ve worked hard at creating workable and realistic syllabus for the school and would like (a) hard working and dedicated teacher(s) to take over from us. 

Please be aware that you really do not need previous teaching experience to apply for this job. 

We spend a lot of time creating additional teaching material which should allow for convenient class routines and thus aid  you generously in supplying a quality service to the school.  

The owners are a very friendly married Korean couple who can both speak English. The academy has two schools quite close to the accommodation. The accomodation is a large two bedroom apartment with all the ammenties (TV, aircon, heated floor, washer, furniture, etc.) 

The bonus attraction is that the academy supplied us with a car. I also taught business English at a company close by for 2 hours a day and had to drive there. We were also given access to this car for our own personal use over weekends which was very convenient. All you need is an international driver’s lisence. 

We will also be leaving our bicycles and memory foam bed cover which we can promise is essential. 

Even though citizens from all countries are welcome, the South African work ethic made quite an impression on the owners and they requested that South Africans are given preference in the selection process. 

The candidate(s) have to be available to start working between 17 July and 1 Augsut 2017. 

The Hagwon offers the following benefits:
Salary: Monthly salary of 2.0M won before tax
Working time: 30 teaching hours from Monday-Friday (2-8pm)
Housing: Large two bedroom apartment close to amenities with a park close by
Airfare: Incoming and outgoing flight reimbursement provided
Health Insurance: 50/50 contribution for health and pension
Vacation: 1 week provided during the Korean main holidays of Chuseok and Seollal with 10 additional paid days (5 days per 6 months)
Severance: 1 month’s salary provided at the conclusion of the contract

You must meet the following requirements to qualify for an English teaching visa in Korea:
• Be a citizen from the US, the UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, or New Zealand
• 10 years of education in one of the countries listed above
• Be able to commit to a one-year contract
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with apostille
• Provide police clearance certificates not older than 6 months
