Who are we?

老外 or Laowai is a friendly term for a foreigner in Chinese.

老外Here is our official name, the company is run by 4 different nationalities including British, Canadian, American and, of course, Chinese.

We provide teachers to schools, but not only this: We also host cultural events, promote foreign businesses and provide additional service – for example, we will help you to find accommodation in China and assist you with the visa process.

老外Here currently has more than 50 foreign teachers all over Sichuan and is one of the fastest growing international companies in Sichuan.

Compensation

Salary from 6000 RMB to 15000 RMB

Position Information

Maximum 15-30 teaching hours

Vacancies in Kindergartens, Primary/Middle Schools, Colleges, Universities and Training centres

Age of Students: all ages

Pre-made lesson plans/ templates

We have six month or one year contracts available

Kindergarten: usually long days, Monday to Friday, few children per class

Primary school & Middle school: usually around 20-25 classes per week with 40 students

College & Universities: often 16-20 hours per week, universities ask for high quality lessons.

Training centers: lessons usually on evenings and weekends, mixed age. Teachers need to be able to adapt to different requirements depending on age. Pay varies with hours taught.

All wages vary depending on experience, location and hours taught.

Teaching periods

If you don't have a preference on when to come to China, you can come right away! We always have teaching positions available.

If you have an ideal age range in mind and want to wait please come during the following times :

For fall semester:

Fall semester usually starts around early September. We recommend you to come to China around the second or third week of August, as that is when the orientation starts.

For spring semester:

Spring semester in China usually starts two weeks after the Spring Festival. We recommend you to come to China the second or third week of February.

Required Documentation 

A Resume/CV with a recent photo 

A copy of your passport (with photo page) 

A copy of TEFL/ TESOL/CELTA certificate (if applicable) 

A copy of your Bachelor degree (if applicable)

No criminal record
