We are now looking for a dedicated head teacher for a distinguished private school in Chaeng Wattana, Bangkok (500 meters from Central Chaeng Wattana department store).
Position: Head teacher supervising 3 full-time EP teachers
Location: Chaeng Wattana, Bangkok (500 meters from Central Chaeng Wattana department store).
Benefits:
• 40,300 Baht (EP/Content) salary per month plus 500 Baht per hour if overtime.
• 12 month (EP/Content) academic year contract that can be extended for additional years and additional benefits.*No unpaid months or reduced pay due to school holidays or reduced teaching hours
• Monthly supplemental attendance bonus of 750 baht per month.
• End of Contract bonus up to 55,000 baht.
• Traveling stipend of THB 2,000 per month when school is in session (with the exception of March, April, and October).
• Guaranteed yearly 3% cost of living pay increase minimum.
• BUPA medical insurance paid.
• BUPA dental insurance paid.
• 2 weeks paid vacation (additional week for additional years of employment up to 4 weeks).
• All Thai government holidays off with pay (13-15 days annually) *These are mandatory government holidays in addition to the paid vacation.
• 2-4 Paid personal/sick days (unused personal days reimbursed at 500 baht per day at end of contract).
• Assistance in visa extension and obtaining a Non-B visa (Teacher must provide proper documentation-Original degree/TEFL).
• Work permit paid by BFITS.
• Assistance (if needed) in locating housing.
• Airport pickup (if needed).
• Yearly professional development training provided for free during school breaks. Topics of training based on teacher requests and needs.
• Western Management.
Working Conditions:
• Teaching hours averages to 7 hours a week.
• School hours are approximately 07.30-16.00 Monday to Friday.
• Teaching materials are supplied by BFITS in digital format on a notebook computer and Ipad: Teacher ions, Student ions, Collaborative Whiteboard Slides, Learning Management System (LMS), etc.
• Modern facilities with Apple TV and LCD projectors.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the point of contact between BFITS teachers, school administrators and BFITS office.
• Set a positive atmosphere within the workplace by promoting teamwork and professionalism in all aspects of employment.
• Provide a cover plan for planned/unplanned absences. If an external cover teacher is needed, contact Program Manager.
• Communicate and implement BFITS policies and procedures as conveyed by the BFITS office.
• Report all absences and instances of tardiness to the Program Manager daily.
• Report general concerns and expectations to Program Manager.
• Submit a School Report to the Program Manager once a week giving an overview of the week.
• Conduct weekly meetings/huddles with teachers and program coordinator.
• Keep teachers and the office aware of deadlines and scheduling concerns by posting information in the EP office and via emails.
• Monitor and evaluate teachers’ performance with formal and information observations.
• Ensure and document that all teachers are up to date with their grading on students.
• Proofread Midterm and Final Exams prior to submitting to Program Manager.
• Gather information and requirements regarding school events and activities from the school, outline the plan and communicate details to teachers, Program Manager and school.
Minimum Requirements:
• Native English Speaker (Passport and Degree from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand).
• Bachelor's Degree
• TEFL/TESOL Certification
• Police Clearance
• IT Skills and experience with using iPads for instruction
• Ability to implement and monitor the use of educational Apps in the classroom
• Two years teaching experience preferred
