Two teachers to start work in September or October in Zhunan, Taiwan

We are looking for two teachers to start work in September or October. Applications open until end of August. We would prefer to hire two individuals rather than a couple.

We're a franchise cram school striving to both improve and maintain our environment of creativity, fun and modern educational practices. We are a franchise of Shane English School and firmly believe in its ideals of professionalism, English immersion and learning through play and yet we are also quite unique; our school has a football pitch, a 4-storey climbing wall, an X-box games room, a full size table football and we make sure all of our students have a chance to pursue whatever their interested in, relax and have some fun. We have been open for 11 years, but in September 2016 we begun a new stage in our development and would love to find someone interested in helping us continue moving forward, while also developing their own teaching skills. Essential Requirements: 
Bachelor's Degree (necessary for ARC) 
Passport holder of English speaking country (necessary for ARC) 
Full mastery of English across all 4 skills (equivalent to user (CEFR C2) IELTS Band 8/9 in each of the 4 sections) 
As of June 2017 Taiwan requires national police checks 
All our teachers must meet work visa requirements 
Enthusiastic and passionate about education 
Can understand young learners 
Has classroom management skills and strategies 
Has subject knowledge 
Has lesson planning skills and strategies

Desirable Requirements: 
Cambridge CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL 
Has course/activity planning skills and strategies 
Adults General English (Experience 400+ hours) 
Young adults aged 7-17 (Experience 400+ hours)

Further Desirable Requirements: 
Has a strong interest and the ability to teach extracurricular activities such as sports, arts or drama, electronics or robotics (we have a wide variety of equipment for a variety of activities such as: unicycling, climbing and slacklining, cricket, badminton, rugby, archery and fencing etc.) 
Strong supporting evidence from Cambridge ESOL CELTA / Trinity Cert tutors’ report 
PGCE/B.Ed. in Primary or Education 
DELTA Certified 
Can use learning technologies 
Ideally, we want someone who can help us develop while looking to develop themselves

Salary Range Connected to Requirements Met 
Guaranteed 80 hours per month though we would aim to supply 100+ 
We offer classes between 2-8:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays, 2-9 on Fridays, 4:15-8:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays Saturday or bimonthly Saturday classes are possible on a teacher's request. 
Teacher meets the Essential Requirements: $580NT - $600NT/hr (approx. NT$46K - NT$60K per month) 
Teacher meets most the Desirable Requirements: $600NT - $650NT/hr 
Teacher meets most the Further Desirable Requirements: $650NT - $700+NT/hr (approx. NT$52K - NT$70K per month) 
After 6 months performance related pay-rise. 
NT$21K contract completion bonus (increases each year). NT$10K of which can be borrowed against to help cover some of the resettlement costs (such as visa fees and apartment deposit) 
Free food at the school and free monthly dinner socials.

Students 
Most of our students are elementary school age, however we do have a number of junior high school students and some high school and adult students.

Support 
Onsite we have a head of English, a senior teacher and a teacher and student welfare officer. Our teacher and student welfare officer will focus on helping you find an apartment that you are happy with and anything else to make your life more comfortable (e.g. arranging Chinese lessons or buying bicycles or scooters). Shane English School head office is also made up of native English speakers and Taiwanese staff.

Location 
Our school is in Zhunan in Miaoli County (less than 90 minutes South of Taipei, 15 minutes south of Hsinchu and 40 minutes North of Taichung by national rail). Zhunan is near both the beach, mountains, old temples, Miaoli's highspeed rail station and is well connected to local attractions such as Sanyi, Lion's Head Mountain and Neiwan. It's a great place to save money, a wonderful place for developing Chinese language skills and it has a healthy variety of food options, while Shang Shun World mall is only a 50 minute walk from the school.

We will be happy to connect you to any/all of our current teachers. Currently we have an onsite international team of 6 which we wish to expand to seven, as well as a committed team of Taiwanese staff and teachers (all our English teachers are native speakers). Our senior teacher, our head of English and our teacher and student welfare officer have been here for over two years and then we have two teachers who started in May 2017. We are replacing one teacher who has been here for 18 months and we are opening a new position due to increased demand for places.

We are always looking to diversify our teaching team and feel it is educationally important for our students, but we can only hire people eligible for Taiwanese work visas, so holders of some passports can not be considered.
