Exceptional Private High School Teachers Required for April 2018 - Chiba, Japan

The Job

English Instructors will work for one of the most prestigious private high schools in Japan. You will be required to present yourself in a professional manner at all times, plan communicative lessons for students and maintain excellent relationships with Japanese staff.

Instructors will be required to teach 15 classes a week at the high school, delivering communicative English lessons to classes of 35-40 students. They will also teach 6-7 evening classes a week (across 3 evenings) at Nichibei (language school) to classes of less than 10 students. Working week is Mon-Fri. Schedule is fixed at the beginning of the school year, but there is sufficient down-time and holidays throughout, whilst the salary will remain the same. No office hours are required. Start date: April 1st 2018

The Benefits

Instructors will receive a salary of 270,000 yen per month.

Instructors are provided with an apartment, at a cost of 60,000 yen, which is deducted from their monthly salary.

The position includes four full weeks of paid vacation (summer and winter). However, there are times in the year when you are not required to attend the high school, so only work 6-7 hours a week at Nichibei (language school). During these times, your salary still stays the same.

The Requirements

A minimum of two years professional teaching experience is required. This does not include experience in Language Institutes or academies. It does not matter if the experience is in Japan or another country.

Applicant must have a Bachelors degree and at least 120 hour TEFL / TESOL certification or a CELTA is preferred.
