Shane English School China is looking for passionate, experienced teachers looking to develop their careers at one of China’s most well-respected training schools.

We’re looking for people at all levels - from Senior Teacher all the way up to Director of Studies, as the company continues to grow across China.

Director of Studies

As a DoS, you’ll help to guide the school through the challenges of 21st Century China. You’ll have a Level 7 qualification (DELTA, Masters in Education) and several years of teaching and management experience. You’ll understand how the industry is changing and be able to shape the future of the company through creative approaches to recruitment, training and curriculum development.

Academic Manager

As an AM, you’ll be able to handle multiple challenges and tight deadlines, all while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude. You’ll have a TEFL or CELTA and have shown a commitment to professional development by taking additional qualifications. You’ll be able to manage a diverse team of teachers from all over the world, and create individual development plans for your teachers, drawing on your own experiences. You’ll be comfortable in a multi-cultural workplace and able to deal patiently and sensitively to the varied challenges you’ll face.

Senior Teacher

As an ST, you’ll be the go-to guy for teachers. You’ll be on-hand to pass on your experience and ideas and help teachers to settle, and make their lessons awesome. You’ll have at least one year teaching experience and you’ll know that this is the career for you. You’ll be ready to face the extra demands and challenges that come with this role, and be ready to lead workshops and training sessions as well as acting as a mentor and role model.
