The Job

Our International School in Vietnam is holding interviews for ESL teachers to join us and teach communicative English and academic subjects to our students. Come and work at our fun, friendly, and professional school dedicated to educating primary and secondary students.

We were founded in Florida, USA, and our international school has a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We bring the GWIS program as our curriculum for public high schools. The GWIS program is designed to bring the benefits of an American curriculum to Vietnamese students. We currently teach 3 subjects: Math, Science and Language Arts to all students from 1st grade to 12th grade.

Our school is designed, built and equipped to very high standards, providing teachers, staff and students with a comfortable and engaging learning environment. We place a strong emphasis on academic quality and this is reflected in our approach to our support and management of our teachers.

Main Responsibilities
o Teach a variety of English classes to a range of abilities
o Maximum of 20 to 25 teaching hours per week
o Maximum of 10 admin hours per week
o Subjects: ESL/ Language Arts/ Math/ Science
o Student ages: 6 to 15 year olds
o Use your creative skills to develop fun and professional classes
o Ensure students learn in an engaging manner 

Compensation
o Competitive salary: 1,700 to 2,200 USD per month (depending on experience & qualifications) 
o Visa and work permits organised 
o Local work permit supported
o 50% salary for the first 7 to 10 days before the school gets the work permit for the teacher 
o Airport pick up and support finding an apartment provided (for international hires) 
o Accommodation allowance: 100 USD monthly
o Bonus on completion of a year of service or airfare reimbursement 
o Quarterly bonus plus annually salary increase (based on performance) 
o Full training and on going professional development
o Health insurance and medical check
o 10 days Vietnamese national holidays (full paid) plus 2 months Summer vacation (non paid, but if we organize summer classes then the teacher will be informed 2 to 3 weeks in advance and fully paid)

Requirements
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand 
o Bachelors degree or above 
o TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate required (No TEFL? We recommend INTESOL, est. 1993, 50% discounts: www.GoldStarTeachers.com/INTESOL)
o At least 1 year experience in teaching Language Arts, English, Math or Science required 
o A dynamic, professional and fun approach
o Positive, flexible, hard working and proactive
o Clean criminal background check (valid at least 6 months)
