Primary School Reading Skills Teacher Needed in Downtown Shanghai

A prestigious Primary School in downtown Shanghai is looking for a teacher to lead Grades 3-5 in their new Reading Skills program. This is a Monday to Friday position and the teacher will be contracted for 40 hours per week. Teaching hours are capped at 20 hours per week, and average around 15-16. The rest of the time is office time and can be spent planning and setting and grading homework and tests. This is a 9.5-month contract with summer and winter vacations free, although we will provide you with a 12-month working visa.

You will be employed by Shane English School Shanghai, so will have the full support of our academic team and receive full training and orientation, as well as welfare support from our dedicated welfare team.

We are looking for enthusiastic teachers with a passion for reading and desire to pass on this passion to their students. You will be teaching reading skills through stories to smart, highly motivated students in the heart of Shanghai.

We are looking for: 
- native speakers from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA or South Africa (for visa reasons we can only process applications from candidates from these countries) 
- candidates who hold a 120 hour TEFL or equivalent 
- teachers who hold a bachelor’s degree in any subject
