Academic Manager for Binh Duong

Scope

The Academic Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and development of teachers on all teaching programmes for the Binh Duong centre. The main focus is teacher management, quality control and direct cost management.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing teacher scheduling, cover and placement testing

• Managing teacher supply

• Induction and support of new teachers

• Professional development support of teachers and academic staff

• Quality control

• Teaching and substitute teaching

• Managing direct costs

• Other academic and administrative duties as requested

Requirements

• DELTA / Masters in TESOL or equivalent

• 5 years’ teaching experience (including experience with young learners). Fewer years will be considered for particularly strong candidates.

• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

• A great deal of energy and enthusiasm

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Experience working within reputable language teaching organizations

• Experience as an Academic Manager / Director of Studies is desirable but not essential as training and support will be provided.

Academic Coordinator for Binh Duong

Scope

The role involves giving ongoing support to teachers including inducting new teachers, observing teachers, helping teachers with resources, and assistance with preparing lessons. The role will also include some development of resources and teaching materials as well as conducting workshops and designing tests.

Responsibilities

• New teacher inductions

• Ongoing lesson planning advice and assistance

• Planning and delivering teacher development sessions (training and support provided)

• Development and upkeep of supplementary resources

• Upkeep of tests and resources

• Placement testing

• Teaching / substitute teaching

• Teacher observation, including conducting pre / post observation chats and filling in admin related documentation.

• Acting for the Academic Manager when necessary

• Other academic and administrative duties as requested by the Academic Manager.

Requirements

• University degree

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• DELTA / Masters in TESOL or equivalent preferred – part completion may be considered

• A great deal of energy and enthusiasm

• YL extension to the CELTA / similar preferred

• Ability to work in a team environment

• 2 years teaching experience (experience with young learners and adults)

• Ability to work both weekend days

• Native English Speaker

• Experience working within reputable language teaching organizations

Senior Teacher for Vung Tau

Scope

This is a full time teaching position with additional responsibilities which include giving ongoing support to new teachers. The role will also include placement testing, communication between local staff and teachers, as well as conducting workshops.

Responsibilities

• New teacher inductions

• Ongoing lesson planning advice and assistance

• Planning and delivering teacher and TA development sessions

• Teacher observations and feedback

• Communications with teachers

• Placement testing

• Teaching

Requirements

• University degree

• CELTA or equivalent

• YL Extension to CELTA preferred

• 2 years teaching experience (experience with young learners and adults)

• Native English Speaker

• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

• A great deal of energy and enthusiasm

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to work at weekends
