Primary School ESL teacher

Instituto Exclusivo is a language a center in La Paz, Bolivia. A variety of languages are offered including indigenous Bolivian languages, though most students come to learn Spanish and English. It is the only school in central La Paz to offer English classes with native English speakers as teachers.

Recently, the school has been contracted to teach at one of the local schools. Interviews will be conducted into December to find potential primary school teachers for the 2018 academic (southern hemisphere) school year. The students are 7 - 11 year olds. The curriculum is complete, but flexible. Local and foreign teachers can offer support with lesson planning and classroom management. The school is located in an "economically not so developed" part of the city, so it's a chance to make a difference in the lives of a marginalized population. Certainly a challenging proposal, but a rewarding one.

One year contract. 5000 bolivianos (720 dollars) per month. Well located apartments available to rent upon a teacher's arrival. Apartments cost between 1000 and 1500 bolivianos (145 - 215 dollars) per month.
